How much do you charge for a logo? Can you design a flyer for me? I’m in need of a website, how much will you charge me for it? Yes the famous question that everyone wants to know and some are highly surprised by the answer. So how much should professional design services cost?
When looking for design services it’s always good to already have a budget set aside for your project. It’s also a great idea to have what I call a wish list. This wish list is a list of expectations you look for in a designer.
It can be anything from location, level of expertise, level of demand etc. Whatever your list consists of it will help you when it comes to knowing which designer you can afford. All designers and design studios have their own pricing formula, and the cost will depend on some of the items listed in above.
If you’re looking to spend less, expect to receive a design with no passion and creativity behind it. Remember this is your business/project that will be seen throughout your social media channels. Make sure you set aside a design budget for what you’re trying to achieve.
Still waiting of an answer? As a designer, it’s almost impossible to give a quote right up front to potential clients. Before a quote is given, most designers get the scope of every project by having their potential clients fill out a questionnaire. From here a design brief is formed, and the designer now has an idea of the amount of time, and resources it will take to complete such project.
How does Von Watts Graphics charge its clients?
Once we’ve gotten the full scope of the project from our potential clients, we will send over a quote. From there a project agreement is sent over in which it goes into details on payment, revisions, and the full scope of the project.
Once the project agreement is signed, an invoice will be generated and sent over for 50% deposit of the balance. Before work begins, this deposit must be paid in full. The remaining balance will be invoiced once the project is complete and approved by the client.
After the balance is paid in full the final project files will be sent over to the client and from there you’re now a part of the Von Watts Graphics LLC client family!
