Twitter is great for networking, building relationships, share information real-time, and reading the latest trending news. Twitter is an extremely valuable tool for businesses big and small if used properly.
So Why Twitter?
According to business for Twitter, 69 percent of users are likely to buy from a business they follow on Twitter. 73 percent feel better about a small business after following and reading their tweets, and 74 percent of users follow small businesses to get updates on future products.

Step One-Set Your Goal
Twitter is used differently from business to business and from person to person. Some people use twitter to sell their products, some use it just to answer customer’s problems, and some use it just to build relationships.
Whatever your reason maybe, be sure you spend the time to research and set goals based off of what you’re looking to achieve
Step Two-Set Your Twitter Profile
There are two main types of profiles that are used on Twitter. Company Branded accounts, and personal accounts.
Company branded accounts are great for company related news, industry news, and contests.
Personal accounts are great if you want to have more of a human presence and you want to engage on a more personal level with your market.
Step Three-Build Trust
With any new venture, you want to build your trust. When starting on Twitter the same goes, you have to build trust and credibility with the community. You do this by posting valuable content, asking questions, and engaging.
One thing you want to avoid is buying followers. It’s not honest, and your company will not gain from this because paid followers do not engage, and do not have the potential of becoming a lead for your business.
Step Four- Track & Measure
With all the hard work you’ve put into building you want to see how you’re doing. Use Twitter analytics to track your progress, identity trends, and best times to posts to your network.
